Interactive curriculum on the net- a big help for parents of dyslexics
Parents of dyslexic children often feel helpless as to how to help their child learn even if there is a dyslexia support system in school. For sometimes it is not enough or it is physically impossible for the tutor to pay extra individual attention to dyslexia students all the time. Dyslexic children have different academic strengths and weaknesses and which require that extra effort from the parents also so as to be able to help their child keep up with the class curriculum.
Various types of software on the net can be of immense help to the dyslexic child as well as the parents. This can come in useful for home schooling or summer studies or afterschool help. Interactive curriculums are available on the net and they are paced according to the students’ needs and start from preschool going up to the higher classes. Many of these programs are self-running so parents can be satisfied that their child is getting good learning without a hands-on involvement. This assistive technology makes for fantastic dyslexia tools as the child with learning difficulties can reinforce his school studies in the privacy of his home without feeling embarrassed or humiliated in school. The child as well as the parents no longer has to struggle with coping up with the school curriculum as these interactive programs really open up the educational world for them.
Although the computer curriculum can never replace teachers with proper dyslexia training, nevertheless sit is a big help for parents of dyslexic children.
