Dyslexia screening is basically a procedure that tests a child’s aptitude and matches it with that of the dyslexics to determine whether they face the condition or not. In other words, it is the process of testing and determining if a child has dyslexia, and if yes- than how severe is the effect.

Screening is one of the most scientific forms of testing for dyslexia that is available today. It uses technology and computers in a systematic form so as to determine the condition as appropriately as possible.

Screening for dyslexia is done strictly by professionals who not only possess the infrastructure and also the capability to infer the results of the tests and confirm it by observing the child if need arises. However the tests are somewhat expensive to opt for, which is why it is a good idea to first undergo some causal online tests first to check if the child may be facing symptoms that need careful examination. Nevertheless it important to remember, that the online tests and questionnaires in journals and magazines can never replace the actual screening procedure. So make sure that you are not substituting the former with the latter when the condition is serious.

The good news is that a number of schools these days offer free screening to check their student’s mental abilities and determine the condition if present in any child during the very early stages of their life. A good dyslexia screening during childhood can help one start working for their future before crisis hits.

Often people who have enrolled their children in dyslexia schools find themselves wondering if it is enough for the child’s future, or are further efforts required. Generally the infrastructure at schools happens to be good enough, and it makes parents ask themselves what better they could possibly do with mere personal efforts. Well, now though the fact remains that a special school can truly work wonders for the child, no amount of treatment is enough for any dyslexic till they have learnt how to fight the condition.

This does not imply that you need to employ endless tutors and make sure that they are studying throughout their childhood days. What it really means is that you need to surround the child with an educative environment, to train their minds faster. This should be done in simple ways that do not make the child feel pressurized or frustrated. For instance, play light mind games with them, give them puzzles to solve, or have casual –playful talks about spellings and numbers.

Though nothing can substitute for a proper dyslexia school in a child’s life, it is always better to not just leave matters to that. Such children need all the love and attention to grow in life, so that they do not just do things mechanically after being taught- but truly do it because it is a part of what they are. Dyslexia schools are great, but sole dependency on them is usually not enough if you want your child to have the best kind of life.

Here are some common and international dyslexia – research and tips that can help dyslexic children lead a better life.

One of the most tried and tested formulas that parents apply all over the world include sending the kids to special training schools, and when adequate facilities are not available, training them in special ways at home so that they can cope up more easily. Generally, encouraging them to play games that improve concentration, making them practice spelling, mathematics, handwriting, etc can help a lot.

It is also seen that children having dyslexia also have a tendency to grow up feeling that they are stupid and not as capable as the others. This is because regardless of which country a child is brought up in, the universal concept that the better performers at school are smarter kids stays everywhere. Therefore it is suggested that you help the kids boost their confidence by not only encouraging them with words, but also reminding them that poor marks are not their fault.

Doctors all over the world also suggest that parents, to encourage dyslexic children, find some activity that they are good at. It could be anything starting from knitting, to painting, to playing volleyball. Helping them discover hidden talents and training them to excel in those fields can go a long way in leading to a more fulfilled life and also building a base in a career in that respective field.

So use these international dyslexia research and tips to help your child lead a better life.

Dyscalculia dyslexic test is basically a procedure involved to find out if a person faces symptoms of dyscalculia dyslexia that basically impairs the mathematical abilities of an individual. It finds out through various means for instance, if they suffer the same symptoms as known about this dyslexia type- which includes problem in learning multiplication tables, doing mental mathematics, special handicap while solving problem sums, telling time on an analog clock, etc. It may also include problems in counting and sequencing and understanding as well as remembering the mathematical symbols.

This kind of dyslexia test is very scientific and is conducted strictly by professionals in a systematic order. The procedure involves various kinds of tests that include a number of check ups, questionnaires, and study of the various tendencies of the individual, etc to make a complete report. People searching for free online tests, maybe thus disappointed to know that there is not much help available , since it is practically impossible to conduct an entire test just answering a few queries, from the computer screen at home.

However, if you doubt that you may be having the condition but are not eager to spend the huge amount of money that any screening procedure involves, then a good idea is to match your symptoms with that of dyscalculia dyslexia, and see how they affect your life. Though definitely not adequate, it proves to be a good first-step in knowing if there is any reason to be concerned at all. In case there is, then a proper Dyscalculia dyslexic test maybe unavoidable.

Here is some dyslexia information for those willing to learn something about the disability.

Dyslexia is basically a condition that is marked by the impairment of an individual’s ability to perceive their surroundings in a normal way. Though otherwise they are as capable as the normal people, they find it tough to learn, view and hear things the way they should be.

It is marked by a number of symptoms that include difficulties in understanding directions, sequencings, writing properly and spelling words properly. A dyslexic also faces problems while solving mathematics, especially while learning multiplication tables or doing mental mathematics.

This disability may be caused by various factors, on which the treatment and support processes largely depend. In most cases, a dyslexic can-with proper training and right amount of effort can lead a better lifestyle. It is important to note though that the disability cannot completely subside but can only be overcome to a huge extent.

Early diagnosis can be extremely helpful, since it can teach the individual to lead a life of high self esteem – where they are well aware of the reason for their poor performance at school. The fact that dyslexics are known to otherwise posses a lot of other talents, and have a lot of mental capability, should be used to encourage them to find something useful to do with their lives. For dyslexia help and updated dyslexia information is it a good idea to join and association such as IDA.

Dyslexia and the dyslexic mind was for a long time a fascinating subject for scientists. While on one hand, the individual seemed to be facing so much trouble understanding the world around, on the other hand they were carrying on a perfectly normal life where they possessed as much intelligence and talent as any other normal individual-if not more.

While during the initial days, the cause was just a mystery, the answer to which lay hidden in a number of possibilities, constant research and experimentation helped find out the root cause of the problem of a dyslexic mind.

Basically, in simple terms, the mind of a person suffering g from dyslexia find its tough to process and perceive the things around the same way as the other people do. We all know that every part of the body is connected to the brain, which receives complex and complete signals and transfers complete signals the exact way so that we know what is going on around us.

However, in a dyslexic mind these signals are not transmitted the same as that of the others, which makes the whole world look confusing to them. The problem could be more deeply associated with one aspect- say the sound or the vision, than the other.

Though a few questions and doubts still seem to remain regarding dyslexia and the dyslexic mind the above theories have helped devise innumerable techniques to help them people all over the world overcome the disorder as far as practical

Dysphonetic dyslexia is basically a form of dyslexia that affects the auditory perception and processing in the brain of an individual. While the rest of the brain functions normally without hampering their intelligence level, these individuals fail to succeed in life because their ears and the connecting part of their brain fail to perform the functions normally. They fail to give complete signals, making the world appear confusing to them. Here are some symptoms to watch out for…

1.	They seem to face trouble with vowel sounds.
2.	A person with this form of dyslexia takes longer to learn sounds, and recollect them the same way as others.
3.	Spelling of unknown but small and otherwise easy to spell words can be troublesome for them. These people may make up bizarre spellings because they find it tough to associate individual letters with the right sounds.
4.	Distinguishing between words that are related visually- like ‘house’ and ‘horse’ can be tough for them.
5.	They may not react appropriately to sounds, giving the impression that they have not understood what was intended to be.

This form of dyslexia has a lot of other symptoms too, though the ones mentioned above are some of the most basic kinds that are most noticeable and easy to understand. Dysphonetic dyslexia is overall quite easy to identify, and can be controlled with efforts and regular training sessions to help the individual have a more normal life.

It is a well known fact that specific dyslexia writing is one of the most prominent features of this condition. In other words, it is one of the most noticeable symptoms that can be used to detect the disability. Thus, understanding the traits of dyslexia handwriting can go a long way in helping early diagnosis. To learn some them, read ahead…

The overall appearance of dyslexic handwriting is very clumsy and disorganized. While illegible handwriting is a problem with a lot of people, in case of dyslexic handwriting, the issue goes beyond illegibility. The letter sizes change too frequently and so do the slants. A lot of words would be formed inverted or upside down and there will be frequent use of capital letters and sometimes even numbers when not needed. The pressure and spacing maybe varying excessively, with poor or no use of full stops or commas, and it could appear like the letters were ‘floating or dancing’.

However, it is important to understand that not all children with these traits in their handwriting may have to be dyslexic It could simply be a case of immaturity or be caused because they still do not know hoe to hold their pencils well or have not practiced writing enough.
A good idea is to watch out for other signs and symptoms of dyslexia along with the dyslexia writing, in order to ensure that it really is a cause for concern and not just a simple problem that the child need to learn how to deal with.
