Dyslexia schools- are they enough for your child’s training?
Often people who have enrolled their children in dyslexia schools find themselves wondering if it is enough for the child’s future, or are further efforts required. Generally the infrastructure at schools happens to be good enough, and it makes parents ask themselves what better they could possibly do with mere personal efforts. Well, now though the fact remains that a special school can truly work wonders for the child, no amount of treatment is enough for any dyslexic till they have learnt how to fight the condition.
This does not imply that you need to employ endless tutors and make sure that they are studying throughout their childhood days. What it really means is that you need to surround the child with an educative environment, to train their minds faster. This should be done in simple ways that do not make the child feel pressurized or frustrated. For instance, play light mind games with them, give them puzzles to solve, or have casual –playful talks about spellings and numbers.
Though nothing can substitute for a proper dyslexia school in a child’s life, it is always better to not just leave matters to that. Such children need all the love and attention to grow in life, so that they do not just do things mechanically after being taught- but truly do it because it is a part of what they are. Dyslexia schools are great, but sole dependency on them is usually not enough if you want your child to have the best kind of life.
